Concord vs Pepupsales: managing the reps who take orders, or letting customers place them?
Self-service dealer ordering + credit-limit enforcement + automatic per-product, per-state tax — standalone, or above your ERP via API-based integration. Not a DMS. Not a SFA.
Pepupsales is sales force automation: it helps you plan, track and support the field team that visits outlets and books orders. Concord is built for the other side of the order: your dealers and trade customers placing routine orders themselves, with their prices, credit limits and tax checked automatically.

The short answer
Pepupsales is likely the better fit if you…
- Sell through field reps who visit outlets on planned routes every day
- Need GPS tracking, attendance, leave and expense claims for that team
- Want reps to book orders offline with promotions applied at the outlet
- Run van sales or need distributor stock visibility across territories
Concord is likely the better fit if you…
- Want dealers and trade customers to place routine orders without waiting for a visit or call
- Extend credit and need every order checked against the account's limit before it ships
- Have prices that differ by account, including prices agreed with individual customers
- Want tax applied automatically by product and delivery state
- Want your reps' time on new accounts and bigger deals, not re-entering reorders

Team time on routine reorders
300 hours
a month, about 38 working days of one person's time
These are orders customers could place themselves in Concord, at their own prices and within their credit limits. How much of this time moves depends on how many customers switch, so test it with your own accounts in a demo.

Reps still matter. Just not for the same reorder every week.

Concord vs Pepupsales: common questions
Is Concord a Pepupsales alternative?
For businesses that want customers to place routine orders themselves, yes. Concord is built for self-service B2B ordering with prices per account, credit limits checked on every order and tax applied automatically. If you need to track and manage a field sales team, Pepupsales is built for that and Concord isn't.
What is the difference between Pepupsales and Concord?
Pepupsales is sales force automation with distributor and dealer management: GPS tracking, attendance, route planning and order booking by field reps. Concord is a B2B ordering platform where dealers and trade customers order for themselves, with customer-specific prices, credit limits enforced on every order and automatic per-product, per-state tax.
Does Concord track field sales reps?
No. Concord doesn't track rep locations, attendance or routes. It focuses on customers placing their own orders and on the controls around them: prices, credit limits, tax and approvals for discounts beyond a rep's limit.
Can customers order without a sales rep in Concord?
Yes. That's Concord's core job. Customers log in and reorder from history, a saved list, quick entry or a spreadsheet upload, at their own prices. Every order is checked against their credit limit and tax is applied before it reaches you.
Can Concord work alongside a field sales app?
They do different jobs, so some businesses use both: a field sales app for visits and new business, Concord for routine customer ordering. Concord connects to other systems through API-based integration, scoped to your setup.
How does credit control work in Concord?
You set a credit limit and payment terms for each account. Concord checks every order against that limit and the outstanding balance, and holds any order that would breach it until your chosen approver decides. Aging and automated payment reminders are included. Concord doesn't lend or finance anything.
Does Concord calculate tax automatically?
Yes. You set a tax category on each product and the rates for each state you ship to, and Concord applies the right tax when the order is placed. The invoice shows one combined tax amount; more detailed tax breakups are configured to your setup.
Do we need an ERP to use Concord?
No. Concord runs ordering, pricing, credit limits and tax on its own. If you use an ERP or finance system, Concord syncs orders, stock and customers with it through API-based integration, and the choice of system stays yours.
