Credit + live price + grade integrity

Dealer ordering for TMT steel makers — today’s price, the right grade, credit under control.

Self-service dealer ordering + credit-limit enforcement + automatic per-product, per-state tax — run standalone, or above your ERP via API-based integration. Not a DMS. Not a SFA.

Steel is high-value, bought on credit, at prices that move every day — and the trust breaks in three places: a stale rate, a substituted grade, or underweight bars. Concord ties every order to the live price, the exact grade and the Mill Test Certificate, and checks it against the buyer’s credit limit before it ships.

The problem

Prices move daily, grades get substituted, and orders are large and on credit.

A static price list is wrong by the time a dealer uses it. A grade quietly swapped — Fe500 for Fe500D — or bars rolled under weight turns into a dispute and a lost customer. And because orders are high-value and on credit, exposure runs high while rates swing. All three meet at the moment the order is placed — which is exactly where Concord works.

Prices that move daily

Raw-material, energy and freight swings make a fixed price list stale fast.

Grade & weight disputes

Substituted grades and underweight bars are the trust problems buyers fear most.

High-value credit exposure

Large orders on credit at volatile rates carry the heaviest exposure you hold.

Your catalogue, structured for steel

A TMT order is a grade, a diameter — and a certificate.

Steel is ordered by grade and section, and the grade is not interchangeable — Fe500 is not Fe500D. Concord carries the grade ladder, diameters and the Mill Test Certificate on the order, so what’s ordered is exactly what’s certified and delivered.

Bulk tonnage and small lots, one catalogue

Supply builders by the tonne — and self-builders by the bundle.

Steel sells at two very different scales: builders and projects order bulk tonnage on credit at daily rates, while individual home-builders want a few bundles for a slab or a floor. Concord runs both, at today’s price, with the certificate attached either way.

Bulk tonnage on credit

Project buyers order in bulk against a BOQ, at today’s rate, credit-checked — better terms at higher tonnage.

A few bundles for a slab

Individual builders buy smaller lots by grade and diameter — at retail pricing, same certified stock.

One catalogue, today’s price and the Mill Test Certificate for both — bulk and retail priced independently.

Concord for steel, where trust is the product

Three things go wrong in a steel order — Concord closes all three.

Price, grade and weight are where steel deals break down. Each is an ordering-and-documentation problem, and each is closed at the moment the order is placed.

Risk 1 · Price

Stale rates

Rates move daily; a static list means honouring a number that’s already wrong.

Concord

Today’s price shown at order — regional where it differs — so orders match the live rate.

Risk 2 · Grade

Substitution

A different grade slipped in against the spec — Fe500 for Fe500D — undermines the build.

Concord

Grade fixed on the order and carried through, with the MTC attached as proof.

Risk 3 · Weight

Under-rolling

Bars rolled under section weight, so the invoiced tonnage isn’t what’s delivered.

Concord

Order tied to grade, section and batch MTC — ordered, certified and invoiced line up.

Order at today’s rate, on credit you control

High-value orders on credit, at prices that move daily, are the definition of exposure. Concord shows the live price at order and checks the order against the buyer’s limit before it ships — so a bulk order can’t breach the limit, and it’s priced at today’s rate, not last week’s.

Projects & tonnage

Quote project tonnage against a BOQ — at today’s rate.

Projects buy steel against a bill of quantities, across phases, at volume terms. Concord lets you quote project tonnage — grades and diameters at a project rate — negotiate and version it, and convert the accepted quote to an order, priced live and credit-checked.

Quote the BOQ

Grades and diameters for a project’s bill of quantities, at volume/tonnage terms.

Negotiate & version

FAQ

The questions manufacturers ask before they buy.

Straight answers on daily pricing, grade integrity, weight and certificates, credit, tax and how steel works with the systems you already run.

How does Concord handle daily steel price changes?

TMT prices move daily with raw-material, energy and freight costs, so a static price list goes stale fast. Concord shows the current price at the moment of order — including region where it differs — so dealers order against today’s rate, not last week’s, and you’re not honouring a number that no longer holds.

Can Concord stop grade substitution and enforce the exact grade?

Yes. The grade a buyer ordered — Fe500, Fe500D and so on — is specified on the order and carried through, so a different grade isn’t quietly substituted. The Mill Test Certificate and heat number travel with the order for proof, which is exactly what serious buyers ask for.

How does Concord address underweight or under-rolled bars?

Weight fraud — bars rolled under section weight, so an invoiced tonnage isn’t what’s delivered — is a real trust problem in steel. Ordering on Concord ties the order to grade, section and the batch’s Mill Test Certificate, so what’s ordered, certified and invoiced line up, and the buyer has documentation rather than a promise.

Can Concord control credit on high-value steel orders?

Yes — and it’s the point. Steel orders are large and usually on credit, with heavy exposure while rates move. Every order is checked against the buyer’s limit at order time, so a high-value order can’t breach the limit before it ships. Control up front, never lending.

Does Concord support bulk and project tonnage pricing?

Yes. Larger tonnage typically earns better terms, and projects buy against a bill of quantities across phases. Concord supports volume and per-account pricing, project quoting, and quote-to-order — with tax applied automatically per product and per state.

Is Concord a DMS or SFA for steel manufacturers?

No. A DMS or SFA manages field reps and secondary sales. Concord is the platform your steel buyers order on — at today’s price, by exact grade, credit-checked, with the Mill Test Certificate attached — standalone or above your ERP via API-based integration.
